We apologize for the inconvenience to those accessing the area by vehicle and to all pedestrians through the area, and greatly appreciate your cooperation. Please observe the cautions and take care to avoid injury or accident while you enjoy cheering for the marathon runners and shopping.<br \/>\n<span class=\"notes\"> Note: For detailed information on traffic regulations,<a href=\"..\/..\/wp-content\/uploads\/ginza_TokyoMarathon2019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"> this Map\uff08PDF\uff09<\/a> please download and view <\/span>\n<\/p>\n<h3> Overview of the Event <\/h3>\n<div class=\"workblock\">\n<h4> Date and Time <\/h4>\n<p>\nRace Name: Tokyo Marathon 2019\u3000<br class=\"sp\"> Organizer: Tokyo Marathon Foundation <br \/>\nDate: Sunday, March 3, 2019<br \/>\nStart of the wheelchair marathon and 10K: 9:05 a.m.; Start of the marathon and 10K: 9:10 a.m. <br \/>\nNumber of participants: 35,000 people (including wheelchair racers plus 500 people for the 10K)<\/p>\n<p>Estimated time for passing through the Ginza 4-chome Intersection <br \/>\nWheelchair racers: 10:06 a.m.<br \/>\nMarathon: Lead runner 10:39 a.m.; Final runner 1:56 p.m.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4> Ginza Traffic Regulations <\/h4>\n<p>\n<span class=\"bold\"> Traffic regulations will be enforced for about five hours from about 9:30 a.m. until 2:40 p.m.<\/span>(For reference only \u2013 actual hours are subject to change.)<br \/>\nNote: The pedestrian paradise (vehicle-free promenade) will not be held on Ginza-dori St. on the day of the marathon.<br \/>\n<span class=\"notesM bold\"> Note: The pedestrian paradise (vehicle-free promenade) will not be held on Ginza-dori St. on the day of the marathon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>For vehicles:<br \/>\nOn the day of the marathon, special traffic regulations will be enforced in the entire Tokyo area. As a result, it is expected to be very difficult for vehicles to enter the Ginza district. The same applies for delivery vehicles.<br \/>\n<span class=\"notes\"> Note: For details, see the Traffic Regulation Map insert in the Asahi, Nikkei or Yomiuri newspaper\u2019s morning edition for Monday, February 25.
