On the 3rd is the Shinkosai procession festival, followed by the regular festival on the 4th, featuring the <i>heihaku<\/i> textile offering ceremony and formal shrine visit. The Grand Festival ends at 8:00 p.m. on the 5th with the return of the imperial carriage and the head shrine\u2019s portable shrine.<\/p>\n<p>    During the Shinkosai procession festival on the 3rd, nearly 130 people dressed in traditional costumes parade through a crowd of shrine parishioners as they carry the imperial carriage and the head shrine\u2019s portable shrine. On the 3rd and 4th, portable shrines from the different neighborhoods in the area will be brought in, and performances of music, Japanese dance, taiko drums, and entertainment will be dedicated at the shrine\u2019s Kagura Hall. A performance by the Shintomi-za Children\u2019s Kabuki theater troupe will be held on the 5th.<\/p>\n<p>    On the 4th, 3,500 shrine bearers carrying 12 portable shrines will gather in the vicinity of Kyobashi Park and Shintomi Bridge at 11:00 a.m. for the joint procession of the Yonnobu and Gonobu unions, then at noon they will disperse to their respective areas.<\/p>\n<p>    Additionally, to promote the festival, five portable shrines from the Yonnobu Union Neighborhood Association will be on display at Mihara Bridge on Sunday, April 28th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (subject to cancellation in the event of rain). There will also be a musical performance by Teppozu Hayashi and geisha from Shinbashi to add even more excitement to the exhibition.<br \/>\n    The Yonnobu Union\u2019s portable shrine procession will be held on the 4th, according to the attached procession route.<\/p>\n<p>    Please come and join us at Teppozu Inari-jinja for this festival, the first summer festival of the year.
