{"id":9829,"date":"2018-04-12T10:01:03","date_gmt":"2018-04-12T01:01:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginza.jp\/?p=9829"},"modified":"2018-05-11T13:39:17","modified_gmt":"2018-05-11T04:39:17","slug":"%e7%ac%ac%e5%8d%81%e4%ba%8c%e5%9b%9e-%e9%8a%80%e5%ba%a7%e6%9f%b3%e3%81%be%e3%81%a4%e3%82%8a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginza.jp\/en\/event\/9829","title":{"rendered":"The 12th Ginza Willow Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"top2016yanagi\">\n<section>\n<p class=\"headline\">The Ginza Willow Festival has been held on May 5th (Children\u2019s Day) every year since 2006 to commemorate the planting of an orderly display of willow trees on Nishi-ginza-dori Street when it was designated as a symbolic road of Tokyo. <br \/>\nWe are holding the 12th Ginza Willow Festival this year as well, thanks to the outstanding support and cooperation of the Tsukiji Police Station, Chuo City, Tokyo and other government ministries and agencies, Ginza Association, Ginmikai (Ginza Merchant\u2019s Association), Nishi-ginza-dori Association, all the performers, and other individuals who are involved in running the festival.<br \/>\nThis year, we will hold a parade and other events centered around a theme of \u2018Bonds.\u2019 We hope that many people will come and enjoy the Ginza Willow Festival and sense the person to person bonds. On the day of the festival, we will make every effort to make the day safe and accident-free so that everyone visiting Ginza that day can enjoy the district\u2019s distinctive hospitality and communication and enjoy participating in the day\u2019s events. You can also see Akita dogs that are loved all over the world. The city of Odate that was where the famous loyal dog Hachiko lived will set up a booth for visitors to meet Akita dogs.
