Ginchakai

1:00 to 4:00 p.m. October 27
Ginchakai that has become a familiar autumn tradition in Ginza is now in its 18th year.
This special event brings together all five schools of chado and a sencha-do school that rarely share a venue to open-air tea ceremony set in Ginza. Come and enjoy the world of tea ceremony that is a part of traditional Japanese culture.
Concurrent events: Student-designed tea ceremony room, Tokyo University of the Arts in Ginchakai, ITO EN event, family sweet-making workshop in Ginza, incense smelling experience

Shintomi-za Children’s Kabuki

November 3, starts at 1:30 p.m. (doors open at 1:00 p.m.)
Venue: Chuo City Taimei Elementary School (special stage set up at the school yard)
Shintomi-za Kodomo (children’s) Kabuki performances will be held at Taimei Elementary School again this year.
We are working in cooperation with Chuo City neighborhood associations and elementary schools in the hopes that these performances will deepen interest in traditional Japanese performing arts and nurture kabuki as a part of the local culture. This year’s program is “Sannin Kichisa Tomoe no Shiranami (Three Thieves Named Kichisa) – Okawabata Koshinzuka no Ba” and “Shiranami Gonin Otoko (Five Thieves) – Inasegawa Seizoroi no Ba” Enjoy the charming performance of young actors.

Visiting Ginza Hatcho Shrines

12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. November 1 – 3
In alleys and on building rooftops in Ginza, there are numerous shrines of sacred images that have been created through the tireless efforts of worshippers.
Visit 12 shrines in Ginza including some that will exhibit their Buddhist images only during the event period.

Para-sports Experience

1:00 to 4:00 p.m. October 27
Ginza strives to be a place where everyone, including the young and the old, families, overseas visitors and expats, and people with impairments, can have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Autumn Ginza 2019 will have a booth for learning about para-sports and an area for trying a sport called Boccia.

Afternoon Galleries is an event in which galleries in Ginza, one of the largest gallery districts in the country, collaborate to create a platform for communication. A variety of events such as gallery tours and a rakugo performance will bring you closer to a broad range of art. Charity Buyers Club for Delicious Japanese Agricultural Products

October 26. Opening Ceremony from 12:30 p.m., Charity Buyers Club from 1:00 p.m.
Location: Sukiyabashi Park (5-chome side)
The Charity Buyers Club for Delicious Japanese Agricultural Products is an annual event where you can enjoy fresh and delicious domestic agricultural products in Ginza.
Once again this year, a charity operation in Sukiyabashi Park next to Tokyu Plaza Ginza will be selling fall products grown safely and with great care by producers connected to Ginza bars and restaurants.

Ginza Fashion Week will be held for the 16th year this fall.
