In 1877, Ginza Yoitaya was established in Ginza as a footwear specialty store.
Artisans, who have become rarities nowadays, always wait on our customers at Yoitaya and carefully attach hanao straps one by one to zori (Japanese sandals), geta (Japanese wooden clogs) or setta (Japanese men’s sandals) matching to the size and preference of each customer.

We originally started as a “to-butsu-ya,” a store to deal imported foreign goods. Neckties became our main products after the war and women’s clothing was added more recently.
Products change with the times, but the way we serve our customers remains unchanged. Be sure to enjoy a unique shopping experience only a specialty store can offer.
