Iseyoshi

Iseyoshi was founded in Wakamatsucho, Nihonbashi in 1878, and relocated to Ginza’s Komparu-dori Street in 1933.
For more than a century, we have served as a specialty store for kimonos and Japanese-style accessories, offering original products crafted with ingenuity while incorporating the spirit of elegance and the sensibilities of each era.
The origins of Komparu-dori Street trace back to ancient times, with its roots in Noh theater, one of Japan’s most famous performing arts.
It is said that the residence of the representative Komparu school of Noh, known as a favorite of Tokugawa Ieyasu, relocated here from Nara during the Edo period (1603-1868).

The spirit of the earth is a mysterious thing, and perhaps because of this, even today Komparu-dori Street is still lined with a variety of shops exuding the atmosphere of traditional Japanese culture.
Every May, the Komparu Festival is held, allowing visitors to enjoy authentic Noh performances right there on the street.
In this way, Ginza has kept its Edo-period sense of sophistication while being supported by tradition. At Iseyoshi, we also strive daily to ensure that our many customers can enjoy this uniquely Japanese level of quality.
Iseyoshi’s lineup of exquisite products will help you create a memorable outfit that will provide long-lasting memories.
Please feel free to stop by and take a look for yourself.
